Summary
I am currently working as an Assistant Manager in Global Compliance and Reporting Department designed to provide accounting, finance and taxation to medium and large size corporations. At present, I am deputed as an Manager – Accounts and Finance at International Brands Limited.
Previously, I have worked as an Audit Senior in Assurance department. My four and a half years of experience in Assurance Department has enriched me with comprehensive understanding of business processes, risk environment, accounting and legal challenges, regulatory and environmental standards and best practices of different corporate sectors.
I was also awarded with the opportunity of working for EY Dubai for five months which strengthened my technical knowledge along with business understanding and also contributed greatly towards my communication and management skills as I was leading and reporting to the people from diversified cultural and linguistic background.
Experience
Assistant Manager
Responsible for all accounting, audit, tax and compliance matters of designated clients. Core responsibilities include:
- Recording of all transactions of respective client and ensuring all transactions are supported by underlying documents and approvals;
- Monthly management reporting as per agreed timelines;
- Supervision of tax compliance team:
a. Filing of tax returns;
b. Filing of withholding tax returns;
c. Coordination with tax consultants;
d. Compliance of notices received from FBR
e. Maintenance of all documents relating to tax compliance
- Supervision of corporate compliance team
a. Filing of returns required by SECP;
b. Compliance of notices received from SECP;
c. Compliance requirements of SECP;
d. Maintenance of all documents relating to corporate compliance
- Preparing quarterly group consolidation; and
- Coordination with external auditors to ensure audit is completed as per agreed timelines.

I have worked in Assurance department as Supervisory Associate, senior associate and executive associate. My four and a half years of experience with EY has enriched me with comprehensive understanding of business processes, risk environment, accounting and legal challenges, regulatory and environmental standards and best practices of different corporate sectors.
